Vietnamese Man Found Murdered
HULU LANGAT – A Vietnamese was found dead with multiple slash wounds at a house in Bandar Mahkota Cheras, Kajang, here last night.
Another Vietnamese woman was found barely alive, lying in a pool of blood in the living room. She was rushed to Hospital Kajang where she remains in critical condition.
It was learnt that police received a call from a neighbour about a fight at the house and they rushed to the scene. They found the unconscious woman in the living room with four slash wounds on her head.
Following the blood trail, they then discovered the man in the master bedroom with injuries all over his body including stab wounds on his neck and chest.
Two parang, believed to be the murder weapons, were found in the master bedroom and in one of the bathrooms in the house.
Several passports from different nations were also found in the bedroom, leading police to believe that one of the tenants was an agent who renewed passports.
It is learnt that the house was being rented by a Vietnamese couple and the male victim’s two brothers. The family had only moved in late last month.
Kajang police chief Assistant Commissioner Ab Rashid Ab Wahab said police believed that the assailant had entered the house through the front door and assaulted the woman first.
“He then might have proceeded to the master bedroom upstairs where he attacked the victim,” he added.
Rashid said several neighbours had heard screams from the house but did not witness anything unusual. – New Straits Times Online
