Najib Asks Chong Wei To Create History By Winning Gold For Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has asked Datuk Lee Chong Wei to create history for Malaysia by winning the gold medal after he advanced to the final of the men’s singles badminton competition of the 2012 Olympics.
“Just spoke to Chong Wei, congratulated him for a superb win! Told him to create history for Malaysia by winning the Gold,” the Prime Minister said in his tweet posting Friday.
World number two Chong Wei cruised to the final of the London Olympic Games’ badminton men’s singles after beating Chen Long of China 21-13, 21-14 in the semifinals Friday.
His opponent in the final is Lin Dan of China, who beat South Korea’s Lee Hyun Il 21-12, 21-10 in the other semi-final match. – BERNAMA
