Moderate Quake Hits Southern Sumatera

KUALA LUMPUR – A moderate earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale hit Southern Sumatera at 10 am today.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department said in a statement that the earthquake’s epicentre was 56 km southwest of Solok, Indonesia and 435 km southwest of Merlimau, Melaka. – BERNAMA
