Boy Left At Hospital By ‘Mum’ Dies
KUALA LUMPUR – A boy died at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre on Saturday morning believed to be a victim of long-time abuse.
The boy, whose identity is not known, was dropped off by two women who came in a Proton Iswara Aeroback. One of the women was believed to be the boy’s mother.
City Criminal Investigation Department chief Datuk Ku Chin Wah said the women fled after the boy was handed over to a medical staff member.
“We suspect the boy was about 7 or 8 years old. We are also not sure if he was a local.
“Everyone assumed that the woman was going to come back, but she never did.”
Ku added that the woman had told the medical officer that she needed help as her son was sick.
The boy was believed to have been unconscious when he was brought to hospital.
“A post-mortem revealed that the boy died of a blunt force trauma to the abdomen.
“He had a lot of bruises all over his body. We believe that he could have been abused.”
Ku urged those with information on the boy’s parents to contact the nearest police station immediately. - New Straits Times Online
