Policeman’s Car Crashes Into A Shophouse

KUALA TERENGGANU — A policeman died when his Proton Inspira crashed into a shophouse at Jalan Sultan Mahmud, here, today.

That was the fourth accident the restaurant owner, Hamzah Harun and his family had managed to survive since they started business 16 years ago.

“We were awakened by a loud bang and went out to see a policeman who was unconscious and injured in his car while the engine was still running,” Hamzah told Bernama after immediately alerting the authority.

Kuala Terengganu Deputy Police Chief Supt Abdul Halim Ishak said in the 3am incident, car driver Shahrizal Muhammad, 30, died at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah hospital due to head and body injuries.
