KFC Ordered To Pay RM5,500 For Negligence

SHAH ALAM – KFC food chain has been ordered to pay RM5,500 in damages to a court interpreter for serving her contaminated food.

Shah Alam Sessions judge Sabariah Othman made the order today, after finding negligent on the part of KFC (Peninsular Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.

On June 21, last year, E. Gantimathy, 34, dined at the KFC Drive-Thru restaurant in Section 2, Shah Alam with two friends. She ordered Potato Cheezy Wedges. She ate it and found there was fungus on it. She immediately spit it out.

She then became ill and felt like vomiting. She lodged a complaint with the store manager but was told to write in official from their website.- New Straits Times Online
