PETALING JAYA: Thales International, a French company alleged to have procured Malaysian naval defence secrets, was involved in the bidding for the Ampang LRT extension project.

PKR strategic director Rafizi Ramli made this allegation today in a press conference at the party headquarters.

The PKR leader also claimed that Thales made three bids for the project, via a joint venture, which was also against a tender bidding process.

“Out of the eight companies that bid for the project, three of them mention Thales as their partner including George Kent Consortium,” he alleged. -FMT
