8 Vietnamese Women Detained In ‘Ops Noda’

Kuala Lumpur – Eight Vietnamese women, believed to be prostitutes, were detained in raids at four entertainment outlets in Serdang Perdana, Seri Kembangan near here yesterday.

The raids, which began at 11pm, was carried out under an operation code-named ‘Ops Noda’ led by Inspector Roslin Mohd Isa, from the Gambling, Secret Society and Vice Division (D7) of the Serdang police headquarters.

Also involved in the operation were policemen from the Seri Kembangan police station and an enforcement team from the Subang Jaya Municipal Council.

Roslin, when contacted by Bernama, said besides the women, aged between 20 and 30, police also detained five local men.

The women, who were found to have abused their social visit passes, were taken to the Serdang police station to have their statements recorded, he added. – BERNAMA
