2 Men Killed, 2 Injured In Peringgit Accident

MALACCA – Two men died and two others were injured in an accident involving a car and two motorcycles at the Alor Gajah-Malacca-Jasin Highway and Peringgit/Melaka Sentral junction, here today.

A Proton Saga Aeroback, driven by Noh Hamrizal Ahmad, 21, was believed to have skidded into an oncoming lane and collided with two motorcycles at about 2.50 am.

His passenger Abdul Rahup Yusof,19, died on the spot while Noh Hamrizal sustained facial injuries from the shattered car windscreen.

One of the motorcyclist, Muhammad Firdaus Md Said, 19, died on the spot whereas the second, Khairul Bismi suffered leg and chest injuries.

Noh and Khairul were warded at the Melaka General Hospital.

Central Melaka police chief ACP Salehhudin Abd Rahman confirmed the accident, when contacted here. – BERNAMA
