Kedah Set 36-gold Target For Pahang Sukma

ALOR SETAR – Kedah has set a 36-gold medal target for the Pahang SUKMA to be held in Kuantan, Temerloh and Pekan from July 7 to 16.
Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak said the 36-gold target was based on the current performance of the athletes.
Kedah finished sixth in the 2010 Melaka SUKMA after accumulating 39 gold, 20 silver and 31 bronze medals.
The Kedah contingent comprising 371 athletes would compete in all 24 sports contested while 377 gold medals would be on offer in the games.
“Our strongest contenders will be Terengganu, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur,” said Azizan after the flag handing ceremony for the Kedah contingent at Seri Mentaloon here Sunday. – BERNAMA
