Hotline To Seek Advice On Obesity Problem

PETALING JAYA – People with health problems related to obesity can now seek expert advice through the “MyWeight MyHealth” service hotline at 1300-800-373 managed by the Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society.

Its president Datuk Nacy Ho said the hotline was set up to help those concerned about health care and aiming for an ideal body weight.

“In urge the public to use this free hotline service to get advice on how to avoid or control diseases associated with obesity,” she said after the launching of the hotline by the Health Ministry’s pharmaceutical services senior director, Datuk Eisah Abdul Rahman, here.

Eisah, meanwhile, advised the public not to purchase slimming medicines and products via online as they might contain substances which could endanger their health.

On the online, she said the enquiries on health problems would be answered by trained pharmacists who could advise the callers on the suitable medicines they could take to treat their complaints. – BERNAMA
