Fisherman Gets 3 Years Jail For Hurting Son

KLANG – A fisherman was sentenced to three years’ jail and three strokes of the rotan for causing hurt to his son who is mentally disabled.

Klang sessions judge Siti Noraida Sulaiman sentenced Mohd Jalaluddin Umar, 43, after he pleaded guilty to committing the offence at their home in Sugnai Ayer Tawar on march 31.

According to the facts, Jalaluddin beat his son, Mohd Faizal, 22, with a broomstick because he finished the milo at home. – New Straits Times Online
