Chief of UMNO Youth, Khairy Jamaluddin today has agreed to debate with Datuk S. AMbiga regarding election issues at the Sime Darby Convention Centre, Bukit Kiara on April 25 (8pm).

It is organized by the Malay Mail press.

At the same time, the Rembau Parliament Member also stated his agreement to debate with PKR Strategic Director, Rafizi Ramli this May 3.

It is about the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) issue.

Both announcement was made by Khairy on his twitter site.

” I have agreed to debate @ambiga_s on 25 April re electoral reforms & @rafiziramli on 3 May re PTPTN. Details to come. “

The debate between Khairy and Ambiga will the first time for both personalities while Khairy and Rafizi have debated before.

Both of them did so in a debate entitled “Dasar Awam: Wawasan 2020 – Malaysia bergerak ke arah yang betul? (Public Policy: Vision 2020 – Is Malaysia moving towards the right path?)” which was organized by the Malaysian student council in United Kingdom and Eire recently.

For the record, Khairy had also previously debated with Pas Vice President, Datuk Husam Musa at the Balai Islam Lundang, Kelantan and Chief of Pas Youth Council, Nasrudin Al-Tantawi.

Interestingly, all three of them, Khairy, Rafizi and Ambiga, share one similarity – they are products of well-known learning institutions from England!

Khairy as known by all is a holder of a Degree in Economic, Politic and Philosophy from Oxford University, Ambiga is a law graduate from Exeter University while Rafizi is a graduate student from Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW).

Khairy and Rafizi’s great talent in debate cannot be disputed, while Ambiga is said to be more ‘cool’ but often comes up with firm and convincing argument.

How would their performance be this time? We shall wait and see on April 25 and May 3.
