Husam Musa’s Special Officer Dies In Road Crash
KUALA KRAI – The special officer to the Kelantan economic planning, finance and welfare committee chairman was killed in a road crash at the 40km Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Krai early Friday.
Kamarulzaman Abdullah, 43, died on the spot when a four-wheel-drive vehicle he was travelling in, collided with a car about 2.30am.
The victim was special officer to committee chairman Datuk Husam Musa and also Kelantan PAS Youth exco member.
The body was sent to the Gua Musang Hospital before it was handed over to his family.
Kamarulzaman, of Kampung Wakaf Che Yeh, was buried at the Tok Panjang Muslim cemetery in Kampung Kota this afternoon.
He is survived by a widow and child.
Meanwhile, two others who were travelling with the victim, Roslan Mohd Zain, 39, an officer with Perbadanan Kemajuan Iktisad Negeri Kelantan, and Mohd Ridhuan Ilias, 30, a state government information secretariat officer, sustained head and body injuries.
They were warded at the Kuala Krai Hospital where their condition was described as stable.
The driver and passengers of the car, who sustained head and body injuries, were treated at the hospital, Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital in Kubang Kerian and Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital in Kota Baharu.
They were identified as Zaid Mohd Yassin, 43, his brother, Mohd Zulfatmi, 23, and Abdul Koyum Saidi, 16.
Gua Musang PAS elections director Hussin Embong said the crash occurred when Kamarulzaman and his friends were returning from Kuala Lumpur after handing over a memorandum titled ‘Amanat Tun Razak’ to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in Parliament House, regarding the Kelantan oil royalty claim.
