Body Guard Drowned In Mining Pool Found

KAMPAR – The body of a security guard who drowned while bathing in a disused mining pool in Kota Bharu, Gopeng, on Saturday has been found.

Kampar district police chief Supt Abd Aziz Salleh said the body of Balu a/l Subramaniam, 45, was found floating at 7am today by a Fire and Rescue Department team.

The body of the security guard from Gopeng was later sent to Kampar Hospital for a post-mortem. Balu who was working as a security guard at a factory had gone to the mining
pool about 2km away with a friend to fish on Sat at 5pm.

Aziz said after fishing, Balu decided to go for a dip but was drowned. His friend who was fishing tried to help but failed and lodged a police report. -BERNAMA
