Student Dies In Road Accident

GEORGE TOWN – A Form Five student was killed after the motorcycle he was riding was involved in an accident with a RapidPenang bus along Jalan Sungai Ara here last night, police said.

Southwest traffic police chief C/Insp Mohd Zin Mat Ali said Mohamad Al Amin Nordin, 17, of Kampung Baru here was knocked down at 9.15 pm and dragged by the bus for 12 metres.

He died while being rushed to Penang Hospital, he added.

Mohd Zin said police had recorded a statement from the bus driver, in his 30s.
