KUALA LUMPUR – Penang Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng claims that he had no intention to aggravate Johor or any other states in this country.

Instead, he claims, his statement linked to Johor was misreported by the media controlled by Barisan Nasional (BN).

“As a Malaysian citizen loyal to the King and country I apologize to the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar for being offended by the Johor statement made by me and I also apologize to the people of Johor,” he said through a media statement today.

Guang Eng said, he will bring this matter to court to determine the truth regarding where he made the speech, what was actually said, how it was said and in what context the statement was made.

According to him, besides the tape recording shown by TV3, there are no media reports regarding what he said in Singapore or in Australia.

He claims, he has access to the interview tape recording with Australia Radio and is still searching for the tape recording of what was said in Singapore which was made personally in a closed session.

In fact, he said, he has instructed his lawyer to file a lawsuit in court to all media controlled by BN starting with Bernama. -  – mynewshub.my
